Govt. High School Wanla celebrated Annual Day

Government High School Wanla celebrated their Annual Day on 20th November where Executive Engineer (81 RCC, BRO) Upendar Kumar, was the Chief Guest and Councillor Lingshed constituency Sonam Dorjey, was the Guest of honour.
During the Annual Day, students displayed different cultural programmes including some exceptional items like traditional Junglu, Chapskyan dance, Lilliput dance and some programme in Hindi.
Speaking on the occasion, the headmaster Nawang Namgial highlighted the achievements of school and appreciated the efforts of students and teachers in producing an outstanding performance in academic, sports and other activities. He further, appreciated the financial support from Councillor of Lingshed constituency, for buying some cultural costumes and traditional Daman and Surna, and also for winter tuition and extra coaching for 10th class students.
Chief Guest Upendar Kumar congratulated the headmaster and all faculty members for their sincere effort in making the future of student bright. Sonam Dorjey also appreciated and congratulated all staff and VEC members for successfully running the institution. He further said that since it is the era of computer, students must be taught computer applications and its usage. He also promised some financial help to carry out computer classes regularly.
At the end of the function Chief Guest and Guest of honour distributed prizes and certificates among the meritorious student for their sincere and excellent work in the field of academy, sports and other activities.
