Sindhu Central University, a Central University established by an Act of Parliament in 2021 at Village Khaltse, has invited online applications for admission to various postgraduate programmes for the Academic Session 2026–27.

The University presently offers MTech programmes in Atmospheric and Climate Science, Energy Technology and Policy, and AI for Sustainability, besides MSc in Astronomy and Astrophysics, MA in Buddhist Studies, and MA in Public Policy.

The programmes are being conducted at the University campus along with mentor institutions including Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology and Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur for laboratory work and practical training.

Interested students can apply online through the official university website, Sindhu Central University. Students presently pursuing their final-year studies are also eligible to apply and reserve seats in their desired programmes.

Candidates possessing valid scores in national-level examinations such as CUET (PG), GATE and other recognised entrance examinations can seek direct admission as per university norms.

The University is also offering scholarships for all postgraduate programmes. Students have been advised to apply in advance to avail scholarship benefits and admission-related exemptions.

During the course of study, students will also have opportunities to participate in long-term research and community outreach programmes being undertaken by the University.

In a meeting held on May 25, 2026, between the Department of Education, UT Ladakh and University officials, emphasis was laid on encouraging students from Ladakh to avail the educational opportunities being provided by the University.

University officials have also been visiting colleges across the region to create awareness regarding the various programmes offered.
