Villagers decide to revive Govt. Middle School, Gangles

Discussion on the revival of Government middle school, Gangles in line with Council Model School was held on February 18.

Welcoming the willingness shown by the villagers to revive Govt. Middle School Gangles, Konchok Stanzin, E C Education assured that Hill Council will put every effort to improve the infrastructural need with complete teaching staff if parents will enroll their children in the government school. 

He informed villagers about the plans of Hill Council to provide affordable and quality education along with good and suitable infrastructure, central heating facilities in government schools. He said that the Council has made a key decision to improve the education system in Leh with a common curriculum, biometric attendance, and systematic monitoring system.

Konchok Stanzin appealed villagers to form Village Education Committee which will help them to manage, monitor and facilitate their school in the future.

Regarding the concern of parents for their children education after the 8th class, he said that the Hill Council Leh is planning to develop both Boys and Girls Govt. Higher Secondary Schools of Leh as a model school in Leh town.

Ven. Lobzang Nyantak, Councillor Upper Leh also welcomed the proposal of villagers and said that in addition to 10 students, around 30 more students are expected to take admission. He further assured every possible help.

CEO, Leh Girdari Lal also assured to provide all possible facilities to Middle school Gangles.

Later, Konchok Stanzin inspected the school and assessed the need for infrastructure.
