Vikas Kundal chairs public grievances redressal camp at Taisuru Stress on active participation of people to keep administration on toes for resolving issues

To get the first-hand appraisal of public grievances and encouraging youth participation in resolving local issues, Vikas Kundal, DC convened a public grievances redressal camp on July 4 at Taisuru village, Kargil.

Several deputations from Taisuru village along with adjacent areas including Kochik, Khaws, Achombar, Choskorbmochan, Maita, Paranty, Namasuru and Kargee appraised their grievances.

Up-gradation of basic infrastructural facilities like roads, electricity, water, healthcare, installation of mobile towers, opening of Girls Higher Secondary School in Taisuru block and provision of availability of adequate staff in all PHCs, educational institutions besides toilet facilities were the demand highlighted by the people.

Vikas Kundal issued directions to the concerned officers for their immediate redressal. He asked officers of education department to organize teacher training programme at Taisuru block. And also directed Education department to construct toilet facilities in the premises of Higher Secondary School, Ponikhar.

Responding to the demand of developing Primary Health Centre, Ponikhar, he asked R&B department and RDD to inspect the spot, prepare an estimate and submit to the concerned for fund arrangement.

For the installation of Airtel and JIO Mobile towers in Taisuru block, he said that 50 locations have already been identified in Zanskar and Kargil area and the work will begin soon.

Taking a serious note of poor attendance in health institutions in Taisuru block, he asked CMO Kargil to ensure regular punctuality of all medical and para-medical staff in all the health institutions.

Also, directed them to authenticate their attendance by the concerned Nambardar’s of their respective areas.

The animal and sheep husbandry department was directed to station a team of doctors in the area to check diseased livestock. At Yuljuk Thang village, PHE authorities were instructed to install hand pump in the area immediately.

He assured for the fulfilment of all genuine demands in due course of time.  He further stressed on the need for active participation of people from different walks of life to keep administration always on toes for resolving their issues and also suggested coordination and cooperation.

Power Development Department authorities informed that the Detailed Project Report (DPR) for receiving the station at Namsuru has been prepared and submitted the concerned quarter for accord of their necessary sanction. Also, the construction work on Ponikhar to Tangole 11 KV Line will be started this year and the new DG set has been sent to the village as buffer stock.

Taking stock of 22.54 Kms road length of Improvement of Riding Quality Programme (IRQP) on National Highway-301, Vikas Kundal directed the R&B department to gear up their field functionaries and speed up the pace of work on the project. He also ensured completion of 15 Kms road length with macadamization during the current year.
