Tundup Gyatso takes oath as Councillor, Thiksey

Candidate of the Indian National Congress, Tundup Gyatso took oath as the new councillor of 14 Thiksey constituency on July 10 at DC Conference Hall, Leh.

The oath was administered by Sunil Gupta, Principal District & Session Judge.

Tundup Gyatso, Councillor Thiksey constituency said that he will continue with the projects and works started by Late Dr. Sonam Dawa in the constituency.

Committed to ensuring uniform development in his constituency, he expressed his dedication to offering his services in providing maximum benefit to the public and where necessary take up new projects on a priority basis.

He has won by-election of Thiksey constituency by 110 votes on June 7, 2018. The by-election was conducted on June 4, 2018, due to the falling vacant seat after the demise of former CEC, LAHDC Dr. Sonam Dawa.

Dinesh Gupta, Chief Judicial Magistrate, Dorjey Motup, CEC,  Tsering Wangdus , EC Agriculture, Gyal P Wangyal, EC Health, Nawang Rigzin Jora, MLA Leh Tsewang Phuntsog, Mobile Magistrate,  Moses Kunzang, ADC,  Councilors, District Officers, representatives of different political, religious and social organisations were present.
