Tsering Sandup, EC Health, meets Joint Sec., Civil Aviation and Home Affairs Requests for inclusion of Nubra valley in the next UDAN Scheme and funds increase under BADP

Usha Padhee, Joint Secretary, Ministry for Civil Aviation, Govt. of India assured to give due consideration for inclusion of Nurba valley in the next UDAN Scheme.

She said that a meeting regarding the inclusion of left out places of the nation in UDAN Scheme will be held.

This was stated when Tsering Sandup, EC Health along with Rigzin Lundup, Councillor Tegar met Usha Padhee, Joint Secretary, Ministry for Civil Aviation Govt. of India on January 24. 

Tsering Sandup appraised Usha Padhee about the problems being faced by Nubra people due to Khardong La pass specially during winter months.

Meanwhile, both the delegation also met Nidhi Khare, Joint Secretary Ministry of Home Affairs GoI. They requested enhancement in allocation of funds under BADP in Nubra region and inclusion of left out villages of Nubra in BADP Scheme. 

Tsering Sandup said that despite Nubra region falling under Indo-China border, no fund is allocated through ITBP for civil works till date. He requested her to allocate funds in this regard. 

Nidi Khare assured due consideration of the demand.
