District Congress Committee (DCC) Leh appointed Tsering Namgyal Tsangpa as the new president of the party on July 31.

Earlier, he has served as the youth president of the party. The position was inducted by Rahul Gandhi to encourage young generation in Congress party and to face new political challenges in the country with more vigour and strength.

Tsering Samphel, Former President expressed his gratitude to Rahul Gandhi. The new president has taken the charge of office on August 6.
