A one-day training programme on Natural Farming was successfully conducted at Tigger and Pinchimik on October 30, witnessing the active participation of around 100 farmers from the region.

The training featured expert sessions by several resource persons. Mohd. Ramzan, SDAO Leh, delivered an insightful lecture on the principles and practices of Natural Farming; Stanzin Gonbo, Subject Matter Specialist, discussed Soil Health and Fertility Management; while Chimet Lhamo, Agriculture Extension Officer, elaborated on Integrated Pest Management (IPM).

SDAO Nubra highlighted the importance of adopting natural farming techniques and encouraged farmers to implement these sustainable practices to enhance productivity and soil health.

In addition to the technical sessions, the team conducted a practical demonstration on the preparation of Agni Astra, explaining its application methods and recommended dosages for effective pest control.

The programme concluded with an interactive discussion session, where farmers shared their experiences, exchanged ideas, and sought clarifications from the experts, making the event both productive and engaging.
