Training cum refresher course on Gram Panchayat Development Plan (GPDP) and mission Antyodaya Survey- 2019 was given by Zakir Hussain, District Panchayat Officer, Leh on October 28 at DC conference hall.
It was attended by master resource persons of the district, Block officers and facilitators of Leh District. 
 
Dr. Zahida Bano, ADC, Leh underlined the importance of training for the Sarpanches which help to develop their capability and formulate good developmental planning and policy. She urged for utilizing the centrally sponsored schemes so that the beneficiary gets maximum advantages. She also recommended for taking prompt implementation with close coordination.
 
Zakir Hussain gave a PowerPoint presentation on people plan campaign under the theme ‘Sabki Yojana Sabka Vikas’ from 2nd October to 31st December 2019. During this period every Panchayat shall hold Gram Sabha meetings for preparing Gram Panchayat Development Plan for the next financial year with relating to economic development and social justice. He also gave a broad highlight on people’s plan campaign regarding the strengthening of PRI and SHGs, evidence-based assessment of the progress of 2019-2020 and proposal for 2020-2021 in all subject of schedule XI of J&K Panchayat Raj Act-1989.
