Tibetans in Leh celebrates 29th anniversary of Nobel Peace Prize to His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama

Marking the 29th anniversary of the conferment of the Nobel Peace Prize to His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama in 1989, Tibetans in Leh celebrated the day with great enthusiasm on December 10 at Sonamling hall, Chief Representative Office, CRO. 

Jamyang Tsering Namgyal, CEC presided over as the Chief Guest of the occasion and inaugurated a Garbage carrying truck at CRO under Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and Thank You India program.

Jamyang Tsering Namgyal expressed his gratitude to His Holiness the Dalai Lama for the endless blessing and guidance.  He said His Holiness is a symbol of love and compassion and his life itself is a warranty for world peace and harmony. 

Talking about the bonding of Tibetan and Ladakhi, he said Tibetans and Ladakhi share a great affinity of culture and religion thus, live in a congenial relationship in Ladakh since their settlement here after 1959. 

He further extended gratitude to His Holiness and the SOS authority in Leh for educating a big number of needy Ladakhi students for a long time. He assured that LAHDC would extend all-out help and support for the welfare of Tibetan refugees in Ladakh.
