Sub District Hospital Drass launches "Swasth Naari Sashakt Parivar" health campaign

The Sub District Hospital Drass successfully conducted a health campaign, "Swasth Naari Sashakt Parivar" (Healthy Woman, Empowered Family), on September 22, aimed at providing essential healthcare services to women and children in the region. The event witnessed active participation from local residents and officials.
The campaign was attended by Councillor Abdul Samad and Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Vishal Atri, who expressed strong support for community health initiatives. Dr. Sajjad Hussain, Block Medical Officer (BMO) of Drass, welcomed the dignitaries and highlighted the campaign’s mission to empower families by prioritizing women’s well-being.
The one-day camp offered a wide range of free medical services, making specialized care accessible to the public. Key facilities included:
- Hb Testing & NCD Screening: Early detection of health issues.
- Specialty OPDs: Gynecology, Pediatrics, Surgery, Ophthalmology, and Psychiatry consultations.
- AMCHI OPD: Integrating traditional healing practices with modern medicine.
- Family Planning Counselling: Providing guidance and support.
- Dental OPD: Check-ups and essential dental care.
- Open Mic Awareness Session: Educating participants on health and wellness.
A large number of women and children from surrounding areas participated actively, reflecting the community’s keen interest in health and well-being.
