REWA 2.0 scheme launched for UPSC aspirants of Ladakh

Secretary, Higher Education, Bhanu Prabha held a press conference at her office complex to brief the media about the REWA 2.0 Scheme launched by the Department of Higher Education, UT Ladakh.

Addressing the media, the Secretary informed that the Department has launched REWA 2.0 exclusively for UPSC aspirants from Ladakh. The online application portal for the scheme will remain open from October 17 to 31, 2025, for submission of applications for the screening test.

She highlighted that the screening test will be conducted to select candidates eligible for financial assistance to avail coaching for the UPSC Civil Services Preliminary Examination under the REWA 2.0 Scheme of the UT Administration, Ladakh.

The Secretary informed that 40 candidates from each district will be selected to receive coaching support. Under the scheme, each selected candidate will be provided ₹1,00,000 towards coaching expenses and an additional ₹18,000 for boarding assistance.

She further stated that graduates aged between 21 and 36 years, possessing a domicile certificate of UT Ladakh and having a family income not exceeding ₹8 lakh per annum, are eligible to apply under the scheme.

Applicants must upload the following documents and pay an application fee of ₹200 (online payment only) before the closing date, October 31, 2025:

Domicile Certificate of UT Ladakh
Graduation Degree Certificate and Marksheets
Date of Birth Certificate / 10th Certificate mentioning D.O.B
Income Certificate issued by the concerned Tehsildar
Category Certificate – SC/ST (if applicable)
PwBD/ESM Certificate (if applicable)

She added that the opening date for online applications was October 17, and the tentative date for the screening test is November 9, 2025.
