MLC Chering Dorjay highlights BJP's 3-yr achievements

Highlighting the major work achievements of the BJP Government, Chering Dorjay, MLC addressed a Press Conference on June 3 at Press Club Building, Leh.
 
Addressing the conference, Chering Dorjay expressed his happiness to put forward all the work done report of BJP in Leh-Ladakh.
 
He said that for the very first time a member from Ladakh was appointed in the Jammu & Kashmir Public Service Commission, Indian Reserve Police battalion and women police station were also sanctioned for Leh. Through legislation in the State Assembly, Sowa Rigpa was recognized as a part of Ayush, Deemed to be university status to Central Institute of Buddhist Studies (CIBS), and sanction of Nubra Development Authority was also highlighted. He informed that the financial power of LAHDC, Leh and Kargil, the amount has been enhanced from ₹ 5 to 20 crores.  Also, the work done liability of Kalachakra sermon in 2014 was cleared for ₹15 crore.
 
Highlighting the funds sanctioned in various sectors he informed that Under 13th Finance Commission ₹ 5 Crores sanctioned for Construction of Stadium,  additional funds of   â‚¹ 52.66 Crores released at different time, ₹ 9 crores for the construction of 1000 Metric Ton Cold Storage Plant sanctioned under 13th Finance & PMDP which is in completion stage, ₹40 Lakh for the  opening of Super Bazaar Leh, ₹ 35 crore sanctioned as a grant by Union Textile Ministry for Pashmina promotion, ₹ 42.05 Crores under AMRUT for Leh city development, ₹ 32 Crore for the creation of tourist infrastructure in Leh as Swadesh Darshan scheme under PMDP, ₹25.00 Crores  under Dr. Shyama PradsadMukharji Rurban Mission for Leh, ₹ 5Crore additional funds for the completion of Trance Himalaya Project at Leh and ₹ 15 Crores by Govt. of India for Restoration of Phuktal Flood damages.
 
In road development, additional funds of ₹15Crores have been sanctioned in 2017-18 and ₹4 Crores in 2018-19 for macadamization of Cities & Towns. Additional funds sanctioned under NABARD Scheme for blacktopping of 13Km including 10 km Khemi-Gonbo and 3km Kobet-Murgi road in Nubra. Also, Nimoo Padum Darcha Road declared as National Highway and handing over of it from BRO to NHIDCL is under process.
 
Amount sanctioned under Central Road Funds in 2016-18:
 
₹19.77 Crores for the construction of a road from Chogalmsar to Spituk and Agling to Skalzangling.
₹9.50 Crores for the construction of Khakted to Chushul road
₹8.39 Crores for the construction of Link Road to Achina Lungba
₹12.94 Crores for the construction of Link Road to Urbis
₹19.89 Crores for Choglamsar Bridge and 9km road towards Chuchot
₹6.80 Crores for Upgradation of Road and Bridge at Martselang
₹18 crores for construction of Mahey-Korzok Road.
 
Under PMGSY (Phase X) 2017-18:
 
₹3.57 Crores sanctioned for construction of Road to Chulungkha. 
₹ 8.69 Crores sanctioned for Upgradation of NyurlaTimisgam Ang Road.
₹8.7 Crores for upgradation of Timisgam Tia Road.
 
PMGSY (Phase XII) 2018-19:
 
₹12.99 Crores sanctioned for upgradation of Stok-Circular Road.
₹36.42 Crores sanctioned for construction of Spangmik-Khakted Road.
₹26.61 Crores sanctioned for construction of Mahey-Korzok Road.
₹3.61 Crores sanctioned for construction of Sharnos
 
Stakna and Mangyu are the major bridges completed in last three years of BJP tenure. And the bridges of Urbis, Leh-dho, Khache Thang and Rongjuk are in completion stage.
 
To improve the telecom services in far-flung regions BSNL mobile towers were installed in Pangong, Shachukhul, Shayok, Shang, Pinchimik, Bogdang, 9 Post, Khalsar, Sasoma and a satellite BSNL Tower at Meru.
 
He informed that the Leh-Srinagar 200KV Transmission Line will be completed this October and the construction of Terminal Building at Leh Airport tenders is floated and the work will commence soon. Also, Inner line permit from Panamik to Warshi for tourist was granted by Ministry of Home Affairs.
 
Chering Dorjay also said that the Seabuckthorn is included by Govt of India as a Horticulture Plant and the related activities will qualify for a subsidy by Govt. if India. Delink of Examination Schedule of Degree college Leh with Kashmir University is notified. The implementation of this decision is hampered by an absence of Rector which is being appointed soon, he added. 
 
He informed that in Budget 2018-19, Special Duty Allowance (SDA) of 10% on basic pay for the State Govt. Employees serving in Ladakh region has been approved. Whereas, the daily wagers of PDD were regularized and regularization of others is under process.
 
It was also informed that the Amendment of LAHDC Act.1997 is under active consideration of J&K Government and the proposal for amendment was prepared by a Committee comprising of Councilors of LAHDC, Leh and Kargil. Also, the Chairman/CEC, LAHDC Leh/Kargil was included in J&K Warrant of Precedence.
