Meeting held to streamline traffic issues in Leh

To streamline the traffic movement in Leh, Jamyang Tsering Namgyal, CEC convened a meeting with officers of Municipal Committee, ARTO, and Police department on November 14 at Council Secretariat.
 
Talking about the complaint of corruption in ARTO made by the public, Jamyang Tsering Namgyal asked ARTO Officer to look into the matter.  
 
Also, asked to check on the LED lights used by many taxis/cars causing disturbances to other drivers at night.
 
Rigzin Spalgon, Administrator MC was instructed to check the undue parking fees charged by some people without having proper tender documents. Also, urged police to make effective measures to streamline the traffic movement in Leh. He asked the police to use stickers to check or punish vehicles parked on wrong parking instead of puncturing the cars.
 
The Municipal Committee, ARTO, and Police department were asked to study for streamlining traffic and parking issues in Leh and submit suggested solutions by end of Panchayat election.
