Leh Forest Division stages one-day protest Demands correction of pay anomaly, grant of two-and-a-half days' extra salary and risk allowanc

Field staff of Forest division, Leh under the banner Non-Gazetted Forest Officers Association staged a one day protest against their long pending demands on July 4 at Headquarter, Leh.

The employees raise their voice in support of their agreed demands that include the revival of pay anomaly, grant of two and half days extra salary and risk allowances. 

Tsering Tundup, President, Non-Gazetted Forest Officers Association, Leh said, “The forest department in the entire J&K is on strike due to non-revival of pay anomaly and risk allowance. The government had promised to release the demand along with seven pay commission but they have failed to fulfil the demands”. 

He further said, “If the demands are delayed than we all will continue the protest for longer days. We believe that the demands will be looked upon under the Governor rule.” 

A copy of the memorandum was also submitted to the office of Deputy Commissioner Leh, CEC Hill Council, Leh and Divisional Forest Officer, Leh for further submission it to the Principal,  Chief Conservator of Forest for redressal of the demands without any lapses of time.
