Ladakh Ldumra Khadot Yarchos Chenmo to be held from July 15

A review meeting on the arrangements of Ladakh Ldumra Khadot Yarchos Chenmo was convened by Gyal P Wangyal, CEC with the organisers and concerned department on July 9 at Council Secretariat.

Ladakh Ldumra Khadot Yarchos Chhenmo is scheduled to be held from July 15 to 23 at Khungru Monastery Nubra.

Updating the arrangements, Khenpo Thupstan, Chairman, organising committee Yarchos Chenmo said that the inaugural ceremony on July 15 will be graced by His Eminence Thuksras Rinpoche.  Satya Pal Malik, Governor, Jammu and Kashmir, consented to be the chief guest during the closing ceremony on July 23.

Gyal P Wangyal directed concerned engineers to complete all the works at Khungru Monastery well on time for smooth conduct of Yarchos Chenmo.

With the hot weather condition and rising water level in Ronjuk Nallah, he directed Executive Engineer R&B to keep two numbers of JCB at Ronjuk Nallah to clear the road in case of blockage. He informed that drinking water facility has been already completed in Khungru. Executive Engineer, PHE was directed to keep one water tanker standby for the ceremony. To ensure smooth electricity, he also directed Executive PDD to do the needful on time.  Skalzang Dorje, Executive Engineer, Rural Engineering Wing ( REW) to install at least 15 temporary toilets at the site.

CMO Leh was directed to provide first aid services during the conference and Additional SP, Leh Suresh Kh. Chib to ensure proper security and traffic management during the week-long programme.
