L-G reviews Chadar Trek operation Week-long annual Chadar Trek of army conducted by Ladakh Scouts Regimental Centre

 Annual Chadar trek of the army conducted by Ladakh Scouts Regimental Centre (LSRC) was held from January 27 to February 2 on frozen Zanskar River.

Radha Krishna Mathur, Lieutenant Governor Ladakh also trekked and met Chadar trekkers of LSRC on the concluding day at Chiling Base camp. 

R K Mathur was briefed about Field Report on Chadar Trek, including rescue operations conducted, details of the evacuation of tourists as well as locals and medical assistance provided during the trek. 
Various issues like communication, land route rescue team, air evacuation, avalanche/landslide, equipment, clothing, food, waste management, trek training, porters, and medical assistance were also highlighted.

Saugat Biswas, Divisional Commissioner/Secretary Ladakh; Lt. Gen Harinder Singh AVSM, YSM, SM, VSM, S.S. Khandare, Inspector General Ladakh; Deepam Seth, Inspector General, ITBP; Sargun Shukla, SSP Leh and all ranks of the Fire & Fury Corps were present.
