Kargil DC calls upon youngsters to volunteer for human welfare

Celebrating International Red Cross Day on May 8, Vikas Kundal, DC also Chairman, District Red Cross Committee, Kargil appealed people to contribute in upgrading the Red Cross Society for the welfare of needy people.

The programme was organized by the Indian Red Cross Society District Branch Kargil at Auditorium Hall, Kargil.

Highlighting the importance of World Red Cross Day, Vikas Kundal said that organizing of such programmes will help to educate people about the importance of the Red Cross Society.

He urged upon the youngsters to volunteer for human welfare and develop the principles of universality, impartiality, love, care, and sympathy.

Arun Gupta, ASP and Imteeaz Kacho, ADC expressed their views on the World Red Cross Day.
Students of Government Degree College, Kargil presented a skit on volunteerism.  
Muhammad Hadi, Coordinator, Red Cross Committee, Kargil and Ahmad Ali, Member briefed about the aims and objectives of the Red Cross movement.

A donation of ₹1,065 was contributed towards the Red Cross Fund by the participants on the occasion.
