Hill Council team from Leh meets Governor

Hill Council, Leh expressed heartfelt gratitude to Governor Satya Pal Malik for the grant of Cluster University for Leh, Government Degree College at Khaltsi, up gradation of SNM Hospital to 300 beds and Ladakh specific announcements in the Budget.

Jamyang Tsering Namgyal, CEC along with Chering Dorje MLC, Tsering Sandup, EC Health, Khanpo Konchok Thupstan and Advisor YDA Nubra wing met Governor on December 26.

Jamyang Tsering Namgyal requested appropriate intervention and direction from Governor’s office for early grant of 10% SDA in favour of state government employees serving in Leh, Post creation for Nubra Development Authority, filling up of various vacant posts in Leh, creation of post for Bhoti and Arabic teachers in High and Middle School of Leh, fund allocation under PMKY, transfer of local police personals to Leh, pending fund release for Kumbh Mela, establishment of hospitality and protocol department in Leh and change in BADP Action plan approval and funding circle. 

He also appraised Governor regarding Yarchos Chenmo ceremony at Khungru scheduled for next year and sought funding for the arrangements. Also, ALC certificates for inhabitants of border areas (within 10 km) of Leh district and wage issue of PHE daily wagers was taken up.

Jamyang Tsering Namgyal requested helicopter service for HH the Gyalwang Drukpa Rinpoche during his visit to Nubra on December 31.

Satya Pal Malik, Governor assured that all the pending demands of Leh shall be accorded due consideration.
