District Advisory Committee on environment was constituted by Hill Council, Leh on December 24. 

Using the power exercise under LAHDC, Leh 2018 Amendment Act regarding Environment and its protection, CEC, Hill Council, Leh Gyal P Wangyal gave the direction. The committee will advise Hill Council, Leh regarding the formulation of environmental policy and protection for Leh district.

Phuntsog Stanzin, EC Agriculture & Environment will chair the committee and the Divisional Forest Officer Leh will be the Member Secretary.

Councilor Phyang, Chief Medical Officer Leh, Assistant Commissioner Dev. Leh, Wildlife Warden, District Officer PCB, Assistant Director Tourism and Executive Officer, MC Leh will be the members of the committee.
