Govt. school Matho adopted as Council's model school Dr. Dawa assures special package for the development of school

The education system of Matho takes a new shape, Primary School Thangkop and primary section of the Govt. High School Matho adopted as council model school on 31 March at Matho.

 The Memorandum of Understanding was signed between LAHDC (Education Department) Leh and villagers through public representatives.

The chief guest of the occasion was CEC, Dr. Sonam Dawa. He appreciated the unanimous consensus and initiative to convert the schools into Model schools. Referring to the dedication and high-quality teachers he urged to make the students well qualified and hoped to emerge as one of an exemplary school. He said that the council will extend all possible help and assistance to impart quality education.

He assured to give some special packages in the plan to all the Council model school for further development and will strive to make all the Govt. School as a model school. 

Talking about promoting quality education, Councilor, Jamyang Tsering Namgyal said that the MOU signed between the council and the villager grants 50% responsibility to each for the development and betterment of the school. He said this responsibility and initiative will take the school to a new height. He urged to enroll more and more student in the school and assured that every student will get quality education.

He further added that the sincere cooperation of everyone will surely help in attaining the desired aspiration. 

Headmaster, Sonam Lhundup stressed on making the school well established and developed by the equal participation and understanding of all the people in the society. He assured that the teaching staff will give every effort and best to make this school one among the best. 

He further urged to keep a review meeting every month with everyone to discuss and analyze every work.  
Books were distributed to the LKG and UKG students. 
Sarpanch Thinles Tharchin and VEC Chairman Stanzin also spoke on the occasion. 

Council Model school is to ensure up gradation of the educational infrastructure and to ensure the deliverance of quality education.

Till now in Leh we have eight schools which are adopted as the Council model school.

EC-Agriculture, Tsering Wangdus, Councilor- Jamyang Tsering Namgyal, Sarpanch, teachers, students, and villagers were also present.
