LEH :
Forest employees under the banner Non-Gazetted Forest Officers Association (NGFOA) highlighting their demand called a protest on March 15 at Forest Division Leh. The strike was being observed in the entire State by all the associated departments.

The employees demanded the revival of pay anomaly, grant of two and half days extra salary, risk allowances, the convening of DPC meeting of all Cadres, stopping of practice elevation of junior foresters as in charge Range Officers and rest other demand.

Tsering Tundup, President, NGFOA Leh said that the authorities are deliberately delaying our genuine demands. He appealed to resolve their pending agreed genuine demands failing to which the department will reinforce the protest in the state.

Namgyal Tashi, Forester expressing his disappointment said, “The entire state is on pen down strike, earlier the authorities have agreed to render our demands in the seventh pay commission but have not constituted the same.”

A copy of the memorandum was submitted by a delegation of Non-Gazetted Forest Officers Association Leh to the Deputy Commissioner, Leh and Divisional Forest Officer, Leh.
