District Administration, Leh, distributes free ration to migrant labourers, daily wagers

District Administration, Leh supplies essential commodities and basic food items to the migrant labourers and daily wagers who are stranded in various parts of Leh district due to sudden lockdown of the country on March 31. 

As per the directions of Sachin Kumar, District Magistrate, Leh, about 950 labourers in Leh town and the periphery area were given free rice, dal, atta and cooking oil.
 
Similarly, Sonam Norboo, SDM, Nubra distributed 2.50 quintals of rice, 1 quintal atta, 50 kg dal and 50 litres of cooking oil among 100 migrant labourers in Diskit village of Nubra Valley.
 
On the directions of the District Magistrate, Leh, concerned officers have already completed mapping of the locations of the migrant labourers to ensure free & fair distribution of ration in Leh town as well as rural areas in the coming days.
