CEC Kargil discusses students' issue in other states Stress on immediate repair of Kargil House and construction of Kargil Bhawan in Delhi

Discussion held on immediate maintenance of Kargil House Srinagar and Jammu and construction of Kagil Bhawan at New Delhi during a meeting on September 28. 

The meeting was chaired by Feroz Ahmad Khan, Chairman and Chief Executive Councilor LAHDC, Kargil with the constituted committee member for addressing issues of the Kargil students residing outside.

Members of the committee including Kacho Ahmed Ali Khan, Former CEC, LAHDC, Kargil;   Councillor; Nassir Hussain Munshi, Councilor Choskore and Stanzin Lakpa, Former EC; Councilor Cha were present.

To acquire quality furnishing and bedding materials required for both Kargil House Srinagar and Jammu a purchase committee to be constituted. Executive Engineer R&B II was instructed to carry out the civil works like the repairing of pipelines and solar heating system and other renovation measures immediately.

Feroz Ahmad Khan also directed the Executive Engineer R&B II to ensure the maintenance of qualitative parameters during the execution of required works.

The need to raise a 3rd floor over the existing two storey building of Kargil House Jammu to ensure provision of adequate accommodation facilities to the passengers of Kargil travelling to Jammu was also discussed.

Other issues like allotment status and possession of 6 kanal land to construct girls hostel at Jammu, completion of formalities of the construction of Kargil Bhawan at Dwarka, New Delhi and submission of proposal to the government for allotment of 15 kanal land for construction of additional residential facilities to the passengers of Kargil at Jammu were also discussed.
