8-week-long skill development programme for youth conclude

An eight-week skill development for youths organized by Fire & Fury Corps under ‘Operation Sadbhavna’ concluded on 16th February at Army workshop Spituk. 

Training was imparted in the automobile, electrician, computer and welding trade and tuition classes in science, math’s and English for the school students of classes 6th, 7th and 9th were given.

Brig EME, Harish Bhutani, Fire & Fury Corps was the Chief Guest of the occasion. Col.Vinod Mehta, Sonam Rigzin, Sarpanch, Spituk Village and Tashi, Deputy Superintendent, ITI Leh was present on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, Brigadier Harish Bhutani congratulated all the students on the completion of the training. He said this will help them in the future endeavor.

Under the aegis of Fire & Fury Corps, Army’s Electronics and Mechanical Engineers gave ‘On Job Training’ in various technical trades to 40 Students of ITI Leh and 11 aspiring local youths.

Tuition classes were also given for 8 weeks to 18 deserving students of Govt. Middle School, Spituk. 

Sarpanch of Spituk expressed the gratitude for organizing such programmes which will help the youth to get more shaped and help in the personality development.

A cultural programme was presented; prizes and certificates were also distributed to the students who completed the course.
