37th Battalion ITBP organises Bharat Darshan tour for school students

The first phase of Bharat Darshan tour comprising 46 students including 26 girls and 20 boys flagged off by Ram Mehar Singh, DIG, Headquarter, North-west Frontier on December 12 from Drona Hall, 5th Btn ITBP, Choglamsar, Leh.

The students were from Nomadic Residential School, Puga, and Middle school, Hanley, Khaldo and Mudh Changthang.

The excursion tour was organised by 37th Battalion, ITBP under the civic action programme, MHA, Govt. of India. The tour aims to connect people and children of a remote area of  Leh Ladakh region with other parts of the country and enrich knowledge on Indian cultural heritage and history.

Kalesh Kumar Kamal, DC/GD 37th Battalion gave a presentation on the places to visit during the tour.  

The students will be visiting different historical and religious places including Red Fort, India Gate, Qutub Minar, Mahadev temple and Vallabha temple, Kottayam, Mararikulam beach, Kerala, Kumarakom birds sanctuary and Cherai beach in Kochi.
