KARGIL :
A total of 25 senior leaders of BJP including the Vice President, Spokesperson and Gen Secretary submitted their resignation to party organiser Ashok Kaul on July 21 at Tourist Facilitation Centre, Kargil.

A delegation led by Subhan Jaffery, Spokesperson BJP Kargil met Ashok Kaul and submitted their resignation. With the coming up of Hill Council, Kargil election this year, the resignation of the leaders is becoming a major setback for the party.

The resignation letter reads, “Three months ago, we informed the Party leadership in Kargil and the members of the state BJP about our resentment with some serious issues in the party. But the party has totally ignored us and it compels us to take collective decision to resign from the different positions along with the membership”.

Accusing Mohd Hassan Pasha, BJYM leader, the letter further reads, “Our resentment with the party was basically with the indiscipline shown by Mohammad Hassan Pasha (BJYM member) who has been given free hand to work and take the decision in BJP Kargil. He has done so many activities and also taken some important decision at the behest of BJP by neglecting other senior members. In this regard, you are always behind him to support.”

Addressing a press conference, Subhan Jaffery said that they have tried to unite the party and taken up the issue with Sat Sharma, Former President JK BJP, Ashok Kaul and other state-level senior members. Any of the leaders gave no attention to address our grievances.

“The leaders gave us one-week time to settle down the issue but 3 months have passed and nothing happened till now”, he added.

Among all, Tsewang Dorjey, District Vice-president BJP Kargil, Mohd Subhan Jaffery, Spokesperson, Zakir Ali Zakiri, Gen.
