216-acre at Agyam Thang command area distributed among people

A 216 acres of land was distributed by Avny Lavasa, DC among the people of Diggar, Tangyar, Khema and Khyungroo under Agyam Thang command area in Nubra Sub Division on June 19.

Avny Lavasa strongly urged upon the beneficiaries to work hard on this economic potential land which is vastly conducive for growing poplar and willow trees. The main water channel of the command area has already been constructed and the subchannels are being constructed through Command Area Development Department.

Tsering Angchuk, Councilor, Diskit, Sonam Norbu, SDM, Nubra,  Sonam Chosjor, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Deputy Director Command Area Development and the revenue officials were present.

People extended gratitude to Avny Lavasa for her prompt action in the land distribution process through lottery that has ensured fair and transparent distribution leaving no room for anyone to complaint.

Meanwhile, delegations of Camel Cooperative Association Hunder and Hunder Society met Avny Lavasa at Agyam Thang with some issues which were amicably addressed.
