Shab-e-Baraat celebrated at Kargil

Shab-e-Barat, birth anniversary of the 12th Shia Imam, Hazrat Imam Mehdi (A.S), was celebrated with great religious fervour on 3 June at Makatab Sahib-e-Zaman Kargil. The event was organized by Al-Mehdi orphanage boys hostel Lankerchey wherein hundreds of peoples gathered to observe this auspicious day.

Muslim spends this night praying and reciting the holy Quran and visit the graveyard of their relative and offer sweets and food etc. They also light candles in the name of their relative and also as a sign that they are waiting for their 12th Imam. The programme began with recitation of holy Quran by (Sikander Ali & Mohammed Yaseen) student of Al-Mehdi Boys Hostel followed by recitation of Qasida by student of Huaza-Ilmiya Imam Mehdi (U.P), student of Maktab Sahib-e-Zaman Lankerchey.

Akhoon Mohammad Hussain, teacher of Maktab-e-Sahib-e-Zaman Lankerchey highlighted about the significance of the day and said that we must spend this night praying and also seek for forgiveness of the sin done in the past. He added that everyone should pray for unity, peace, health, prosperitory and development in the world. The programme concluded with sourah-e-fateha.

Meanwhile Majlis was also held under the banner of Maktab-e-Hyderiya Lankerchey on 3rd June where in around four hundred women gathered to celebrate Birth Anniversary Of Hazrat Imam Zaman (A.S). The event was organized By Anjuman Sahib Zaman Maktab-e-Hyderiya Lankerchey.

The programme began with recitation of holy Quran followed by girls of Maktab-e-Hyderiya followed by talk on different topics regarding Shab-e-Barat. Naat-e-sharif, Qawali and Tarana were also presented by the students of Maktab-e-Hyderiya Lankerchey.

The celebration was also observed at Maktab-e-Imam Raza Sankoo where Huja-tul-Islam wal Muslimeen Aga Syeed Sadiq Razvi threw light on the life of Hazrat Imam Zaman (A.S).
 
 The celebration was also held at Trespone, Saliskot, Faroona,Thovian, Khachan, Stakpa, Umba, Baroo, Anjuman-e-Sahib Zaman Sankoo , Sangrah, Suru, Parkachik, Purtikchay and Tangole of Suru valley.
