Two minors, one person held for stealing donation boxes from Leh Mosque

The district police, Leh arrested three persons in charge of a stolen donation box from the mosque on April 16 in Leh. 

The person was identified as Sayed Nizam-Ud-Din, a 20-year-old boy resident of Barso, Kargil. On his disclosure the other two accused (name kept with-held being juvenile) also committed the crime. Police recovered the stolen boxes with cash from their possession.

A written complaint from Vice President, Anjuman Moin Ul Islam, Leh regarding a theft of donation box from Jamia Masjid and Tsas Soma Masjid, Leh by some unknown person during the intervening of January 4 and 5 was received on March 6 at Police Station, Leh.
The case was registered under FIR No. 03/2018 U/S 457,380 RPC.

During the course of an investigation, police nabbed Sayed Nizam-Ud-Din and arrested the other two on his disclose. 

All the three accused confessed the crime and produced in the court of law. Challan was produced as per the law against the adult and juveniles.
 

 

Section 457:  Lurking house –trespass or house breaking by night in order to commit offence punishable with imprisonment.

Whoever commits lurking house-trespass by night, or housebreaking by night in order to the committing of any offence punishable with imprisonment, shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to five years, and shall also be liable to fine, and , if the offence intended to be committed is theft, the term of the imprisonment may be extended to fourteen years.

Section 380: Theft in dwelling house, etc

Whoever commits theft in any building, tent or vessel, which building, tent or vessel is used as a human dwelling, or used for the custody of property, shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to seven years, and shall also be liable to fine.
