Syndicate bank opens new branch in Leh

  Syndicate bank launched its first branch in Leh on 21st September with well-equipped facilities. The branch was inaugurated by the Executive Director T.K. Srivastava.  Field General Manager Satish Kumar Goel and many other were present on the occasion. 

The Executive Director shared the story behind the opening of this branch and gave a brief about the Syndicate bank, which was established in 1925 in Udupi- Karnataka. The bank collected as low as 2 annas daily at the doorsteps of the depositors through its Agents under its Pigmy Deposit Scheme started in 1928. This scheme is the Bank's brand equity today.He shared the success story of the Bank and the wide number of branches throughout the length and breadth of the country.  He appealed the Bank Manager to make the Bank one of the best in Ladakh. 

The bank is presently run by four employees under the bank manager Arshid H Naza. The bank caters e-services, different schemes, locker facility and many other benefits to its customer.
Speaking on the occasion, field general manager assured that the bank will provide the best of the facility and services to the customer. 

Syndicate Bank is in service for 90 years and is undertaken by the Govt. of India. The objective of the bank in Ladakh is to increase the income generation of the middle class and poor people. The primary focus of the bank is in the retail sector. The bank is planned to have more branches in future.
