Leh :
A three day long musical concert was organized by Ladakh Media Culture Society on 6 to 8 February at Diskit Tsal Community Hall, Leh. The concert was organized on the theme “Save the youth save the nation”. The aim of the event is to keep the youths of Ladakh away from the increasing social evils.
Many young and talented youths along with the famous singers of Ladakh, Dorjay Stakmo, Tsewang Namgyal and Ladakh Scouts band entertained the crowd with their performance.
Ladakh Media and Culture Society Advisor, Tsetan Angchuk said that it is an effort to keep the youths away from many social evils which are increasing in our society and to provide a platform for the talented youths. He further added that the funds generated from this event will be utilised to organize such events in the near future.
Drug abuse, consumption of alcohol, immoral acts  are some of the habits which are prevalent in our society and are increasing. Awareness in the society against these social evils is a prime thing to eradicate such issues which has become problematic.  An active de-addiction center in Leh is important to resolve cases through counseling.
Engaging the youth in other activities like sports, music etc will be one more step towards saving the youth to fall prey to such social evils.
LMCS has the plan to organize a talent hunt in the coming years to find out the hidden talent of youths in every corner of Ladakh.
