Multilingual Hussaini Mushaira organised in Kargil

Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages, Kargil organised a District Level Multilingual Hussaini Mushaira at New Academy Complex Bazaar, Kargil  participated by 22 poets from different parts of Kargil District on 4th November presided over by the noted poet Haji Abdul Hamid Tanveer. 

Chief Executive Councilor, LAHDC, Kargil Haji Muhammad Hanifa Jan was the chief guest while as Mohsin Ali Executive Councilor, LAHDC, Kargil was the guest of honor on the occasion.

The mushaira recitations compositions were in Balti, Purgi, Shina and Urdu languages that sang of tributes to the martyrs of Karbala and reflecting upon the philosophy of martyrdom. 

Speaking on the occasion, Executive Councillor Mohsin Ali congratulated the Academy for organizing such yet another successful Hussaini poetic sitting.While terming language as the backbone of the culture, he said that Hill Council Kargil will  always render support to Cultural Academy Kargil in order to enable it to fulfill work satisfactorily.

He added that the Hill Council Kargil will do its best to devise ways and means to promote and preserve the rich multilingual literature of Kargil. Mohsin also emphasized the need to follow the path and principles of Imam Hussain (A.S) and his companions so as to bring virtue and morality in the present era which is faced with a lot of chaos and disorder. 

Among others who were present on the occasion included writers, district officers, school and college students, and a large number of general public. 

Earlier in the welcome speech Muhammad Hussain Fayaaz while welcoming the dignitaries, poets and audiences highlighted the activities of Cultural Academy Office, Kargil. Imdad Hussain Publication Assistant delivered the vote of thanks at the end.
