Culture Academy organises music and painting competition

As a mark of tribute and part of the celebration of 19th Gyalsras Bakula Rinpoche centenary birth anniversary, two days on spot painting and music competition was held on 25 and April 26 at Lotsava Auditorium, Culture Academy, Leh.

The competition was organised by J&K cultural academy with an objective to explore the talent and skill of the children and to provide a platform or motivating them to perform.
 
Around 14 schools participated under 4 different categories including below 6 years of age, junior, senior and amateur.

Special Officer Tsewang Paljor said, “We are happy to see the maximum participation of the student in this competition.  The talents of the children are getting better with time and we came across one or two very talented kids in a year.”

Talking about the further enhancement of the talent, he said that the academy put every effort to train them further and to make their own identity in the society.

The painting competition was themed on the Bakula Rinpoche. Tundup Dorjay Stakmo and Tsering Angchuk Ralam were the judges during the music competition.
